COVID-19 Coverage on the Navajo Nation

The disproportion of discrepancies impacting Diné and Hopi families by COVID-19 is disheartening and it shouldn't go unnoticed that the majority of residents living on the reservation lack running water, electricity and even access to essential grocery stores. It's important to disseminate information as it impacts our Indigenous communities. There is a saying here on Dinétah, Tó éí iiná' at'é, "Water is Life." With the negative environmental implications caused by resource extraction including uranium contamination, coal industries and fracking; continuing in our homeland, we all must advocate together to strengthen our communities.
